Learn how to upgrade the service plan of your Cloud Databases or Analytics service according to your needs.
NOTE: Once you have upgraded your solution, you will not be able to downgrade to a lower solution.
Requirements
- Access to your OVHcloud Control Panel or the OVHcloud API
- A Public Cloud project in your OVHcloud account
Instructions
To adjust the flavor of your cluster, log in to the OVHcloud Control Panel and select the Public Cloud menu. Under Databases & Analytics, click Databases (or Data Streaming or Data Analytics, depending on your engine) and select your engine.
In the Configuration tab, look at the Service panel and click Edit in the Plan row.
Select your new plan. Depending on your existing configuration, you may be required to upgrade your node model.
Click Edit to submit your changes.
Currently, the OVHcloud Control Panel does not allow downgrading the service plan for some engines, but you can do it using the API.
Using the OVHcloud API
If you are not familiar with using the OVHcloud API, please refer to our First Steps with the OVHcloud API guide.
To upgrade or downgrade the service plan of your cluster, use the API call like the one below, but for your engine:
Request Body:
If you downgrade to an Essential plan, your current flavor and/or number of nodes will be downgraded automatically if they exceed the limits of the Essential plan.
