Learn how to adjust the storage space of your Cloud Database or Analytics service according to your needs.
This feature is only available for engines that use storage space.
How to increase or decrease storage
This option is available through the OVHcloud API and the Control Panel.
When changing the storage space of your service, the system checks that at least 20% of your total storage space will remain free after the resize operation. As a consequence, you might not be able to perform a storage space decrease if the new size you requested is too close to your current disk space usage.
How to adjust the storage space using the Control Panel
Requirements
- Access to the OVHcloud Control Panel
- A Public Cloud project in your OVHcloud account
Instructions
To adjust the storage space of your cluster, log in to the OVHcloud Control Panel, navigate to the Databases (or Data Streaming or Data Analysis, depending on your service) area via the Public Cloud menu.
Then select your engine.
Select the Configuration tab, and look at the Service panel. Next to Storage, click Edit.
Use the slider to adjust the storage space of your cluster, then click Edit.

As an example, for PostgreSQL® services, you can perform a storage space increase or decrease using this endpoint:
Other engines using a storage space provide similar endpoints, e.g.:
NOTE: Use the "storage" field if available. If not, then the "disk" field will work.
