OVHcloud offers over 30 templates that consist of OS's (Operating Systems), OS's with control panels, and hypervisors that can be installed on a Dedicated Server via the OVHcloud Manager. This tutorial teaches you how to install the template of your choice on your server.

Installing an OS on a Dedicated Server
Warning: By completing the steps below, you will erase the data currently on your Dedicated Server and it will be unrecoverable.
Begin by logging into the OVHcloud Manager.
- At the top of the screen, click
Bare Metal Cloud.
- From the left-hand navigation menu, select
- Select your server from the drop-down list.
Look in the "General information" section.
- Click the
...next to "Last operating system (OS) installed by OVHcloud."
Installfrom the drop-down menu.
In the popup window, select "Install from an OVHcloud template" and click
Read the options on the "Installation from an OVHcloud template" screen.
- Select the type of OS you would like: basic, administration interface, or virtualization.
- Select whichever OS you prefer (some may require licenses).
Review the information on the next screen.
- Provide a hostname and/or an SSH key.

Following the completion of the installation, OVHcloud will send an email to your primary email address, which will contain the credentials needed to access the server via SSH.
OVHcloud makes it quick and easy to install an OS on a dedicated server. After completing this tutorial, you should have a server with a freshly installed OS.
